Interlochen Center for the Arts is looking to hire a Visual Arts Gallery & Presentations Coordinator for the 2019 camp season. The dates of the contract are 6/14/19-8/5/19. Housing is provided for the dates contracted (early arrival/late stay requests, if space is available, will be paid in full by the employee). All meals are included with your agreement- breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
This position manages and hosts weekly exhibition openings and receptions, assists with installations, works with marketing to design posters and program covers, and creates labels for the artwork. Computer skills using a Mac are essential. Ability to work occasional evenings to help with events and installation of exhibitions, shop for and prepare food for exhibitions, measure space and hang artworks, create labels, patch and paint walls and pedestals, coordinate with faculty and students to gather artwork and create promotional materials for exhibitions and lectures. This position requires meeting new people with an energetic and positive attitude.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for movement of pedestals and ability to use tools and stepladders

- Gallery experience preferred
