Interlochen Center for the Arts is looking to hire Front of House Servers (Dining Services Staff) for 2019 Interlochen Arts Camp. The dates of the contract are 6/10/19-8/10/19 and the hourly rate is competitive and based on experience.  A meal will be provided during your shift  (when service is open) for the duration of this agreement.

Major Responsibilities

- Assist the Dining Services Management Team in providing meals to campers, visitors and employees in a friendly manner with attention to quality customer service while ensuring all safety and sanitary regulations are followed.

- Set up serving lines, counters, salad bars, beverages, and hot wells for all meals.

- Keep the dining area neat, clean, and orderly at all times throughout and in between the meal periods.

- Serve the customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Keep the salad bar area fully stocked and cleaned.

- Familiarity with what ingredients are in the food that is being offered, identifying if there are dairy or nuts in the food being served.

- Using equipment including serving utensils, carts, and hand wash buckets.


- Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time, sometimes up to 4 hours

- Able to work in hot and humid conditions

- Able to work evenings and weekends as scheduled

- Must be at least 14 years of age at time of application

- Must understand basic safety and sanitation regulations

- Must have hand and finger dexterity to handle serving equipment

- Be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees

- Be able to follow written instructions

Schedules will vary from 20-40 hours per week and are subject to change. This position does not come with room and board. It is designed for those living off campus.  Employees in this position will receive one meal per shift.
