Interlochen Center for the Arts is looking to hire Visual Arts Studio Assistants for the 2019 camp season. The dates of the contract are 6/21/19-8/5/19. Shared dorm room housing is provided for the dates contracted (early arrival/late stay requests, if space is available, will be paid in full by the employee). All meals are included with your agreement- breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Visual Art Studio Assistants work an average of 7 hours per day assisting instructors in a variety of visual arts classes, managing studios, helping students and assisting with various other aspects of the program.

- Duties include studio preparation,
- inventory of supplies,
- assist with studio instruction and studio clean up.
- Assistants also help to monitor open studios and help hang student exhibitions.
- Depending on the schedule, Visual Art Studio Assistants will also teach a workshop to high school or intermediate students in the Visual Arts Studio Seminar.
- Additionally, they assist with the department's public and community programs as appropriate including open studios, extracurricular activities, demonstrations during change over weekends and Collage.
- Visual Art Studio Assistants help hang student exhibitions and decide on the most creative and efficient ways to display artwork.
- Decisions are also made when giving advice to students about their artwork.
